The particularly meaningful adventure into the lives of a few people, in a few places, far away from home.

Chagga dance.
This dance took place at our first field trip locale to a small village near Machame. The village is situated on a multiple ridge tops set apart by rivers that run down from Mt. Kilimanjaro. The pathways between the ridges are steep and often muddy but the people here have no trouble at all traversing them, unlike ourselves to whom it was all very treacherous and quite the adventure.
These elders of the village were kind enough to revive some of the traditional Chagga dances for us to see and learn.
